What is the larger purpose and impact of this role?

Entrepreneur In Residency program of MiStay is a 4 month program that will give candidates an opportunity to work with a start-up right from the early stage and understand the intricacies of building up a company. The EIR will work closely with the founders across domains such as Business Development, Marketing & Operations. This is meant to be a mini-CEO role where EIR will take ownership in some of the areas (from strategy to execution) while still being involved in variety of other fields.
At the end of the program, the engagement may be translated to a full-time opportunity with senior role in the core team based on performance and mutual agreement.

What would be my responsibilities?
The uniqueness of this program is that there is no rigidly defined role, rather it will be match between the requirements as well as candidates skill-sets & interests. However, some of the areas in which the work may involve includes:
Business Development
  • Identify new markets for expansion, strategize the business development roadmap in the respective geography, monitor and execute the expansion plan
  • Attract talent for BizDev role, on-board, train, monitor their progress and lead them towards attainment of their goals
  • Reach out to hotels as per the plan, do the contracting and get the hotels on-boarded at MiStay platform
Growth Marketing
  • Develop the branding, marketing and growth plan of MiStay with emphasis on inorganic means
  • Experiment and evaluate the different marketing and growth channels (digital as well as offline) and identify the optimal channels
  • Work closely with product/ technology team to conceptualize and execute various growth initiatives as per the plan
Operations Management
  • Design and set up scalable processes for every major activity to optimize for time and efforts.
  • Work closely with customer support team and manage escalations, maintaining healthy relationships with partner hotels
